STEM Journey 2016

Cape Cod Community College
  • Please email Jill if you are interested in being an exhibitor.

We’re looking forward to another STEM Journey this spring. We hope you’ll plan to be there, too.

If you came to our “Great White Sharks to Deep Ocean Exploration” Journey last March, you already know this: STEM Journeys are a seriously fun afternoon of exploration, and open to everyone!

What happens on a STEM Journey? Last year we met shark experts from Woods Hole, built cardboard kayaks, experimented with magnets, and climbed into a model of a whale.

This time, our theme will be “Land, Air, and Sea.” It will be a great opportunity to delve into the world around us. Our friends at organizations across the Cape—see the full list below—are already dreaming up interactive exhibits designed to engage students, parents, teachers, and anyone who is curious about real life STEM.

Mark your calendars now—we’ll keep you updated on speakers and events in the months ahead.

If you are interested in setting up an interactive exhibit or would like a space for displaying brochures or pamphlets about your group or your school , please email Jill and she will follow up with details.  We would love to have as many groups as possible!

And, if you or your students have been working on building underwater ROVs this past summer or this year, we invite you to share your work at the ROV Expo that will also be part of this event. The ROV Expo will be an opportunity to share the ROVs you are working on and even test them out in a small pool.  Students and groups can also bring a poster or other artifacts to illustrate what they have done and what they have learned.  Please email Jill.
